Christmas is - by FAR - my favourite time of year. It starts for me on December 1st, and I always save all my xmas shopping until then, so I can do it in an excitable rush. Finding awesome gifts for people that they will love is ridiculously fun. And what a brilliant excuse Christmas is to not check your bank account! So far I’ve made a lot of notes with ideas for people’s gifts. I wish I had more time to do them, because I really love doing this. Ah well.
This is a photo of our Christmas cake. My auntie made it. She’s very talented and crafty and very much into upcycling, which is basically making vintage bits workable again. Her house is beautiful. It was almost a wreck when they moved in - Victorian and not updated in the slightest. I went to visit them this summer for the first time in their new house and it is GORGEOUS.
